Announcement too early?!

I’d like to announce after my first ultrasound this week at 8 weeks and 4 days. My first pregnancy it wasn’t celebrated by a lot of of people in my life so, I kept things  very hush hush until 33 weeks. This time around I want to feel special I was this baby to be celebrated. What do you guys think? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated

Entirely up to you. I don’t think there’s ever a right or wrong time. Your body your baby your choice!

My *personal* opinion on this matter is that it’s easiest to wait until 12+ weeks for a public announcement, but to tell those closest to you after your first OB apt. 
I’ve had to tell the people I work with an my professors at school; because they all caught me throwing up and they needn’t worry about flu, etc. 
I will wait for my public announcement until the second trimester because that’s when the chance of miscarriage drops to less than 1%. It’s unlikely at this point, but if I do miscarry: I don’t want to explain my trauma to the world.

I announced after my first appointment I was a little over 8 weeks. I’m excited about my baby. Rather I have a healthy pregnancy. Or If i miscarry. I want my baby to be celebrated. Everyone has different opinions though 🤷🏾‍♀️.

Honestly anything can happen at anytime during you’re pregnancy. So if your first ultrasound is all good then I don’t see a problem announcing at any time. The baby should be celebrated. Plus I waited 4 years for this so to hold it all in sucks lol

Hi,
With my first pregnancy I waited until after the first trimester but with this pregnancy I decided to announce it to my family on Christmas.
I haven’t had my first appointment yet, only thing I had was the positive pregnancy test. My first appointment is until January 15.
It was a little awkward because they were asking questions I couldn’t answer and all I could do was guess from lmp that I was approximately 6 weeks.
Everything went good with my first pregnancy and that the the reason why I announced it early to my family only.

My ob won’t do an ultrasound until second trimester since we don’t need a dating scan. We were 8 weeks around Christmas and didn’t want to miss the opportunity for a cute announcement! we have lots of family excited for us, and if anything does happen we will have all the support.

I announced to our families with my first at 5 weeks and this one at 7 weeks. I wanted my family to know in case anything happened. We did a 12 week announcement for everyone else.

I personally wait till someone notices. I normally wait till I know the sex. The early stages are always iffy
