Gestational sac accuracy?

Question

Does anyone know how accurate the due date estimate is with the gestational sac only? My gestational sac is measuring at 6 weeks 2 days but I don’t think that is right. There is also no embryo in the gestational sac yet (crossing my fingers that everything is ok) and I don’t think I’m as far along as they are measuring.

They are accurate but dates can sometimes change, especially in early pregnancy. My baby was 6 days behind during the first trimester, compared to the LMP but he caught up by 13 weeks. My doctor says is happens more often than people think. 
I didn't see any sac until 6w5d (5w6d per the U/S), the baby might just be a little behind but it doesn't mean there's a problem. The following week I heard the heartbeat, currently 34w :)

They are pretty accurate for calculating what they see on the screen. Do you think that your dates may be wrong? Or that you ovulated earlier than thought? This happened with me and a colleague of mine and unfortunately ended in a blighted ovum. Wait a few weeks until you go back. Sometimes the baby is just too small to capture and will be there in a week 😊 good luck to you xx
