Things to do in New York City?

Thinking about taking a trip this year, I know I want to see the MET, but don’t really know what else. Have you ever visited/live there? Any must do’s/eats if I have a couple days in the city? Thank you so much!

Do the hop on hop off bus. It’ll take you to all the main attractions in the city.

I’d avoid Times Square. It’s just like really overdone and frankly loathed by locals for its gross tourist trap appeal. My recommendations are for you to go to Juniors for the best Cheescake on the planet. Toms Restaurant is a popular stop. It’s the Seinfeld diner. Food is nothing special though. I’d recommend getting a slice from Bens Pizzeria on Macdougal and go for a walk through Washington Swuare Park. Sunset park is a great neighborhood to walk around. Astoria park is lovely and in Queens. Walking the bridges is definitely always a good time.

Do the top of the rock,  it’s a far better view than Empire State Building! Plus tickets are cheaper!

We have been there a few times, we were just there for New Year. 👌🏾 A couple of attractions we love are Times Square, Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Rockefeller Center, African American Wax Museum, 9/11 Memorial and Museum, etc. We also had to find some kid-friendly attractions since our daughter was with us.

My husband and I have been to New York twice. The first time we mostly just walked around the city but made sure to see the World Trade Center Memorial. The second time we visited Madame Tussauds Wax Museum and did a boat tour that took us along the Hudson River so we got to see the Statue of Liberty.

When are you coming to NYC? I can definitely name you a lot of things to do but it’d be better to know what season you’d be coming in to give you better options!!

Shows on Broadway.  Walking down 5th Ave and walking into stores there is no way I would buy anything from.  Times Square and Central Park.
