Thigh chafing and blisters

Hi everyone! I recently got back into exercising, and after two days of going to the gym and getting some cardio in, my thighs are chaffed and a few blisters have formed. I typically wear workout material leggings to avoid direct skin-to-skin contact, but it’s not enough. Am I alone on this? If anyone else has this happen, what do you do to decrease or prevent them?
