My friends are telling me that if I had sex with my boyfriend, it would bring us closer.

I’ve been with him for almost a year now and we haven’t really had “sex” other than me giving him oral. We’re both virgins. We’ve talked about it and he has reassured me many times that it doesn’t bother him. It doesn’t bother any of us. Im not sure why my friends feel like they have to pressure me to do something I’m not ready for and he isn’t.

Our relationship is built on so many other important aspects and sex isn’t on the top of our priority list. We both want to finish college and get financially stable and have our own place. (He’s 19 and I’m 20.)

Is it, I guess “bad” that I haven’t had sex with him?
