I’m Concerned...

typically my period is really light and there’s rarely any clots, but this time it’s really heavy and really big and frequent clots and i’m really worried. i spoke to my mother but she said as i age (i’m 16) my uterus lining gets heavier, but i didn’t think it could go from being super light and quick to super heavy and slow. wtf is going on and should i be worried?
