This may be lengthy, but please try to stay with me.

My husband & his ex wife have a 6 year old little boy together. During the divorce the court set child support amount based on what he was making at the time. Which came out to almost 900 a month. Anyways, he always paid on time with no issues. Then in october he lost his job. & isnt physically able to do anything in the trade he was previously in. Which means no job yet. But hes been scrapping & doing odd jobs to pay what he can.

Now here's where i start to freak out.. He got a notice to appear in court for not paying child support. The letter says he can be incarcerated if they decide that he's just willingly not paying.

Ex wife has always been nothing but issues. Literally says "can you pay me more child support because my car insurance is due" "can you work on my car?" Etc.

Should i freak out? Im currently a SAHM so our house cant afford for anything to happen to my husband.

Advice would be greatly appreciated if youve been in a similar situation!
