Gynecologist before TTC??

Is it best to see a gynecologist before you TTC to see if everything is good? 
We’ve only been trying for 3 months which I know isn’t very long, but I just have a feeling I won’t be able to conceive on my own.

I went to my gynecologist while trying to conceive. She checked me to make sure I didn’t have any diseases or infections that could effect pregnancy. Other than that she recommended that I just relax and keep trying and it will happen when it’s meant to happen. She told me it might be a good idea to get the dye test done for my Fallopian tubes to make sure there wasn’t any blockage preventing conception. Those are normally pretty expensive unless insurance covers it.

It’s good to speak with your gynecologist because they can order some initial testing, make sure you’re preparing correctly, and refer you to a fertility specialist if you’re having a hard time conceiving.

We’re planning on ttc #2 in April and yes I’ll be having an appointment prior to make sure everything is on the up and up 😁

We did! I had a pre-conception appointment. I was on birth control for over a decade so I wanted them to make sure it looked okay. They checked for cysts and did blood work and all sorts of tests. Everything came back perfect. 
It’s been 3 years and still no luck. However, I’ve had many tests done since then and it’s just unexplained infertility. Hopefully my time will come but not getting hopes up. 
Anyways, it’s smart to go talk to them and make sure all is good. I knew I would’ve been mad at myself if something was wrong and we tried this long with no answers. But knowing nothing is wrong makes me think our time will come eventually.
