Shoes on or off inside your house?

We take our shoes off in our house.
It's fine for guests to leave theirs on if they'd like.  I live in a desert though so there's no worry about mud/snow being tracked in.

We have carpet everywhere in the house so outside shoes gotta stay in the door and we or guests gotta wear slippers. That’s the rule lol
