Why test before your missed period?

I’m very curious why woman test before they have missed their period? I thought you get the most accurate reading after you’ve missed and wouldn’t everyone want that? Just honestly curious.

Honestly for me I just get to the point where I just want to know. But your right testing early typically doesn't help anything. I read somewhere during my last cycle that if you test positive before your missed period it means you ovulated earlier than you thought (this doesn't mean it's the case for everyone). But it is a waste of money in the long run lol.

The only reason I tested 4 days before my period was I woke up and just had a feeling that I should test. I really was not expecting it to be positive.

I used to do tests before my missed period it’s just an excitement feeling of oh it might show up early .. I once done 24 tests in a 10 day period of waiting for period / or hoping to be pregnant xx
