My wife had a miscarriage at 22 weeks 4 weeks ago... could anyone explain this to me?

I'm sorry for your loss. I am going through a similar experience and I know it can be confusing when no one is there to ask. It's really nice to see that you have taken concern and tried to help your wife. I can see from your edits and the comments there is a bit of backlash from the post. I cannot see what the problem is it is anonymous and as you said your wife has given you permission to post this... I am glad that you are getting the help you need and if you are ever confused... you should be happy to ask the group questions no one should feel isolated in this time. Wish you all the best.

You can continue to spot for weeks after a miscarriage. So this is just a bit of blood mixed in with her discharge, most likely no reason to worry. Sorry for you loss, it is a difficult time 💜

I spotted a bit right before my period started. It was discolored like that before the normal bright-red colored period started the next day. I think it’s great that you care so much about your wife to ask. It isn’t anything to worry about though, bleeding and spotting after a miscarriage is normal, even weeks after. It’s only a concern when it’s in great amounts.
