I am filing paperwork this week to change my son’s middle name and last name. I was able to hyphenate his last name about 6 years ago when he started school.

His Father has been absent for 7 years, he became distant once his Mom moved out of state and never made an attempt after that.

I am requesting to make my son a 3rd from my Grandpa and Dad. He currently has his Father’s middle name.

When I had my son, I wanted him to be a 3rd but I was young and dumb.

I think I tracked down his address, but I don’t know the apartment number. My Brother or Brother in Law will be serving him with his paperwork.

Should I reach out to him to get his apartment number? Maybe try to make it easier on him so that he knows when he will get served so his girlfriend doesn’t find out he has a child?
