Does anyone else have a short napper?

Question

My son just turned 5 months and still only takes 30 minute naps 90% of the time. Sometimes up to 45 minutes but never more than that!! 
Having him skip a nap or stay up longer doesn't help 
Just curious if anybody else has or had a baby like this, and if it ever changed??

Same, I was told that unless they are taught how to connect their sleep cycles on their own they will always have short naps and wake up more during the night.

Yup. My twins are cat nappers, 2-3 20 minute naps a day and that’s it. They are pretty good about putting themselves to bed at night, but they do still wake at night too. My 2 year old was also a cat napper, it got a little better at a year when I switched him to one nap a day and he would sleep for about an hour, maybe 2 hours every once in a while. I was not blessed with good sleepers!

My daughter will be 5 months on the 10th. She is a cat napper.. short naps every day all day long. BUT she’s slept all night, every night from 9pm-8:30am since about 5 weeks old. So, I’ll take the short naps during the day and the sleeping all night habit!

Yes the same! It's normal at this stage. Between 5-6 months babies start napping longer. I read it on an article by Baby Sleep Science:

Same, she's been like this for a longtime but sleeps great at night. Soooo. I can't complain too much lol

My girl sleeps 45 min naps most of the time.. but today she napped for 2 hours at her grandpas house.. not sure what I did differently there. I brought her sleep suit and she has a pack n play there and I played the white noise from my phone instead of the sound machine.. I blacked out the room w sheets over the windows and she slept perfectly.. think I need to make her room darker here, might have been the trick.

My baby does 30-45 min in her crib, longer when being held. However, sleeps 2-3 hours for my babysitter in a crib😑.

till 8 am most nights.
