Do you think it’s selfish to have babies with all the problems across the world?

Question

I am very interested in knowing how women that don’t want to have babies feel about this subject and why the women that do have babies feel the other way. Do you guys ever get scared the world is too ugly to bring a baby to it?

I don't want any babies, but cheers to those who do! 
Yeah, the world sucks but maybe, just maybe, that baby is going to do amazing things or change someone's life. There's no reason for it to be selfish. Raising a child takes a lot and regardless of the world it's actually pretty selfless when it's planned or done well.

the world is so overpopulated. we cannot keep reproducing like we do currently. the earth is taking a huge physical toll simply from how many fucking people there are on it. so i really think it’s a bit selfish to birth even more people into the world when there’s also plenty of children who don’t have anyone to take care of them. i know this is a super unpopular opinion tho because for some reason the majority of humanity finds making babies appealing

Of course its fucking terrifying...The world is so messed up at this point...My baby is almost 5 months and I look at him and how pure and sweet he is now and I cant stop thinking about all the things that could hurt him... I wish I could promise him happiness and stability and money and everything he needs but the thing is...I cant because I dont know what can happen tomorrow or even an hour from right now... All I can promise without doubt is my love and thats it... It breaks my heart because our happiness could be turned over in a second...I just wish I could hide him from the pain of this world

World has always been kinda messed up. We actually live in the times when things are way safer than before. 
You should do what makes you happy and what you're willing to do to enhance your and people's happiness around you. So if you want kids then you should have them. 
As for me, I find kids gross and pathetic. So that's not gonna happen for me. It has nothing to do with how the world is.
