From what I have been told ur urine samples at the dr are drug tested if you ever test positive the hospital will drug test you at birth, all newborns are drug tested as part of their screenings ....

Not from around there. But I know when they ask for a sample they are looking for protein and also drug testing u. So if it comes back positive they will inform u and test u at birth as well.

I was under the assumption that all hospitals do, until recently. My friend had a baby and the nurse came and and stole some urine from her catheter and was acting all shady. Turns out they did a UA on her. The nurse looked into her background and saw she had a possession charge when she was 18 (11 years prior), so they tested her. It was weird. 
Not sure about babies. I work in child welfare and we get a lot of referrals from hospitals because they test the meconium, I believe. If it comes back positive for substances, we get a hotline.
If you think your baby or you might test positive, please just be honest with your doctor for everyone’s sake. And if it’s THC, keep in mind that sticks around for a bit. 
A report doesn’t mean your kid gets removed, but it does usually mean state involvement, which can really stink.
