Thrush or mastitis?

How do I know the difference? My nipples are painfully sensitive and burn like crazy, and I have shooting pain into my breast

I believe thrush effects mainly your nipples because you can pass it to baby breastfeeding.
Mastitis is a clogged duct so you would see a red spot on your breast that might be warm to the touch & painful like a knot or bruise.

Thrush is mainly in your nipples and it feels similar to how it burns/stings when you per with a UTI.
Mastitis is an infected/inflamed milk duct... so you’ll have a localised sore area that’s often red/warm.
