SIDS is so scary
I just read the entire AAP technical report on safe sleep and SIDS and it scares the crap out of me. There are so many contributing factors and they can’t nail down exactly why it happens. I guess you gotta just try and do what is recommended and then cross your fingers? But even their recommendations change frequently based on new evidence. I’m just surprised at how little is known at this point. There are a couple things we just can’t do as recommended like breastfeeding for at least 6 months, which makes me feel like I’m not giving him his best chance. I guess I’m going to have to get used to being worried all the time if I’m gonna be a mom eh?
