Hi risk with painful Fibroids

Stephanie

I’m 36, this is my first pregnancy, and I have fibroids. I had severe pain Tuesday and Wednesday, which put me in the hospital for a few days. They did an MRI to check my appendix, but that was fine. They finally realized it was my giant fibroid 16cm, that is degenerating causing me all this pain. It hurt to walk, breathe, and I couldn’t drive. The bumps were too painful. While at the hospital, they gave me morphine to help with the pain. I went to the ER January 2nd at 4:30 pm, and I was transferred to a different hospital at 2 am. The 2nd hospital kept checking my vitals, took blood, did an ultrasound to check on baby, etc. They weren’t going to admit me even though I was in severe pain. My boyfriend had to call multiple times to tell them I need to be admitted because there was no way I could go home in that much pain. They finally admitted me at 2 am. They continued morphine for one more dose, then they gave me an anti inflammatory pill called indomethacin 25mg along with liquid Tylenol. They gave me the indomethacin every 6 hours, Tylenol every 4 hours. They discharged me on the 4th at 7pm. I’m on bed rest, and finished my final dose of the anti inflammatory last night. I’ve been taking Tylenol extra strength every 6 hours, to help with the remaining of the pain. It still hurts to use my stomach muscles to get in and out of bed, it hurts to walk still, it hurts on my right side when u touch my stomach. By far the worst pain I’ve ever felt in my life.

Anyone experienced this before? Any advice for the pain?
