Failed IUD Insertion - Anyone Else Experience This???
I went to have a Paragard IUD placed on 12/27/2018. I had a Paragard previously between 2009 and 2017 and, while the insertion was painful, the doctor had no issue getting the device in. Due to some medical issues a previous gynecologist suggested I take it out and try hormonal birth control pills. The hormones in the birth control make me crazy (like legit crazy) so I talked to my new GP about getting the Paragard back. She referred me to a gynecologist at a local hospital. The GYN was really great, but could not get the device into my cervix. After 45 minutes of horrible pain and light bleeding, the she suggested that I come back in two weeks to try again. I am scheduled to go back this Thursday, 1/10/2019, and was prescribed Cytotec to take the night before.
Has anyone else had this experience? If so did the meds work??? I really really dont want to be on birth control or have a baby.
