Do acrylics hurts?

I want to get fake nails but my mom says they hurt a lot and wants me to get gel or an acrylic fill on my real nails? I just like having long nails and my real nails keep breaking

They don’t hurt. I’ve got my nails done for over 20 years.

No, but I prefer just a dip which is essentially the same thing, but they don’t add tips. They still file down your nails, but not as much.

I went thru a time where I got my nails done soooo much! I was addicted lol. 
They were so sore for a few days after, just bcus of the filing & stuff. They literally tore my real nails slap up! I finally got out of acrylics & decided to let my nails grow, it took them YEARS to look better. I'm personally against acrylics now.

U may be bettwr off putting acrylic over your real nails  i no for ME personally when i get fake nails they hurt for 2 days just bc the filing down of my real nails and stuff but everyone is diffrent

I will add, you’re only 14. I spend 85.00 plus tip every two weeks to get a fill and deluxe pedicure. You need to have money every few weeks to get a fill because if you rip them off then yes, they will hurt. You can get gel polish and let your real nails grow out.
