We’ve been swaddling since birth. We started out using Copper Pearl swaddles and have stuck with it. At first, we weren’t so great with the large size of the blanket but now we’re pros. Especially my husband, he can wrap her up so tight and she’s out almost instantly after being swaddled. She loves it. She usually sleeps between 6.5 and 8.5 hours at night when she’s swaddled. If I swaddle her for a nap she usually sleeps for 1.5-2 hours versus 30-35 minutes unswaddled.

We stopped swaddling at 2 weeks, then started again at 6 weeks. We have always used the halo sleep sak swaddlers and she loves those. Now we are trying to transition her from a full swaddle to only around her waist.

I’ve just started today and my baby is short of 11 weeks, I knew she wouldn’t like it because she loves throwin her arms up all the time! But it’s also reason why her sleep gets so disrupted. I’ve been told to stay consistent, so I’m going to see how it goes for the next few days. She’s not been too bad in the swaddle tonight, just the expected grunts trying to get her arms out but I’ve been soothing her in my arms everytime she gets too frustrated.
I’m just worried as I’ve read online that swaddling is recommended from birth and if it statists from 3/4 months, the risk of SIDS is high 😭😭😭

My baby was in nicu so they started him there and when I brought him home and tried to continue, baby didn’t like it

I tried it for about 3 weeks then he started hating it. About 6 weeks I randomly tried again and he loves it. You just can’t put him in it while he’s awake or he screams. I have it laid out and ready in his bed so I can just lay him down in it and wrap it. He sleeps 10+ hours.
