Only three rounds?

My doctor told me I can only do three rounds of Clomid before seeing a specialist, but I always see people say their doctor did six rounds?

I heard 3, then take at least a month off and then can try 3 more but that’s it. A lot of women get pregnant within the first three rounds though! It worked first round for me.

I got pregnant on the 4th round from the OB. First 3 were 50mg and the 4th was 100mg. Had an US to check if there were any cysts and there wasn’t. Guess it just depends on their policies? ❤️

I think they should run a dye test before giving it out as i had 6 rounds to find out my tubes are blocked anyway so im high risk for ectopic.so kinda wasted all that time trying when could of been saving .my gp didnt give it me it was a fertility specialist

My doctor agreed to do up to 6 rounds because one of my tubes is blocked and there is no guarantee of ovulation on the open side from month to month. Starting round 3 tonight.

This will be my 12th IUI cycle with Letrozole. At this point if I get BFN again I might have to go through the IVF route.

I was only told I could do 3 rounds. Doing more can cause cysts and you definitely should be monitored closely if you do more. Sending you baby dust

That’s odd. I technically did 4, got pregnant on my 2nd but had a miscarriage and had to go 2 more. 
But my doctor said we would do 6 rounds before we changed up the plan.

The first time around I was only allowed to do 3 cycles with my obgyn since they all failed he referred me to a specialist and got pregnant on the first round there.
