I had my appointment last week for the results of my ultrasound and blood work. I’m 35. The ultrasound showed a 2.5mm fluid sac measurement but the blood work came back NEGATIVE for downs risk with a 1 in 350 chance and no follow-up recommended. She confirmed that everything is fine and I just needed to go for my IPS2 (part 2 of blood work which I haven’t done yet). HOWEVER, today I got a call from the receptionist who said that the doctor told me that the tests came back and I’m high risk so I should go straight to genetic testing ASAP. Are they crazy? What changed from last week? I have the results already so I don’t know what she’s talking about - the receptionist couldn’t clear anything up for me either and the doctor is not in for another 3 days now so I’m just sitting here completely confused - I kind of want to take my results to a walk-in clinic tomorrow...
