Help...charcocaps???

Question

I had the stomach flu and took charcocaps (activates charcoal to help with diarrhea). It says that it’s supposed to bind to the toxins and help take them out of your body. However, I took the right dose 12 hours ago and I have not had to go to the bathroom since. My mom says they’re supposed to be constipating but I’m not sure? Feel like I have to go but can’t now.

I don’t buy into all this ‘binding to toxins’ shite from companies that have no background in nutrition anyway because there’s not enough scientific evidence to prove they do anymore than your liver and kidneys BUT that aside if it helps with diarrhoea then it is going to be a constipation effect to stop you from having loose bowel movements. If you want to ‘detoxify’ yourself eat foods high in antioxidants (colourful fruits and veg) and don’t eat fried foods as they are bad for forming free radicals, causing an chain of oxidation of cells.
