I’m seriously irritated 😠

Regan • 9 year old angel baby 👼🏽 born at 23 weeks. Mommy to a 7 year old princess 👑 👩🏾‍🦱 and a 16 month old prince 👑 👶🏽! Pregnant with baby #4 🤰🏽☺️

So I lost my first child at 23 weeks due to cervical incompetence. Which means my cervix is incapable of carrying a baby to term without medical intervention, whenever it decides the baby is too heavy it dilates without any pain or symptoms to indicate what is going on. Because of this with my second pregnancy I was seen as soon as I found out I was pregnant. At 12 weeks I started seeing a high risk doctor along with my regular OB so that I could be monitored closely. I got weekly progesterone shots and ultrasounds every 2 weeks to make sure my cervix stayed closed. It ended up opened at 36 weeks to 3cm. 4 days later I got a sharp pain in my abdomen so I went to the ER and was 8.5 cm dilated.

2 years ago I got gastric sleeve surgery so my stomach is very small. Because of this I can not eat and drink very much. Knowing that I am pregnant I try my hardest to eat as much of the best foods that I can because I know that I’m getting very little for a pregnant woman. Combine not being able to eat and drink very much with vomiting out what you can eat and drink while being pregnant and it’s a disaster. I have fainted twice from what I believe is dehydration and malnutrition. I have lost 8 pounds in one week and my entire body hurts constantly.

Today I am 5 weeks so I called my office to schedule an appointment and was told that my first appointment would be on the phone with the phone nurse at 12 weeks. I tried to explain to the scheduler that aside from that not being normal for me because I’m high risk, there are also other issues that I need help with due to my sleeve. She started talking over me and being very rude saying that “it is normal for everyone’s first appointment to be at 12 weeks on the phone with the nurse” I proceeded to tell her that I can not be treated with the norm simply because my pregnancies aren’t normal. She said “this is protocol, I will schedule you with the phone appointment and leave a note for the doctor and see if she decides to see you sooner”.

Tomorrow I plan to research and call other offices to see if there is an office that will take my pregnancy seriously. I just hate to leave an office that I’ve been with for so long.
