For those of you that don’t have a medical reason for an induction, will you elect to have one at 39+ weeks?

The hospital I’m having this one at doesn’t allow inducing before 41weeks

Yes bc my husband works two hours away and we live in Connecticut by ourselves. The rest of our family is in new york, new jersey, north Carolina and Florida. He works 12-16 hour shifts and does not have the type of job where he can just pick up and leave it would take at least 2-3 hours to get someone to replace him then about 2 hours to get home. That is about 5-6 hours total I would be in labor by myself. 
My doctor has agreed to induce me between 39-40 weeks or exactly on my die date if I at least 50% effaced and at least 2 cm dilated. Its also still possible that I might get induced before 40 weeks for a medical problem if my blood work doesn’t come back okay.

I would only do it if I was already dilated at least some and cramping etc

If my baby is measuring too big I may elect for an induction just so I can try to have a vaginal birth and not have to have a c section

No but if I haven’t delivered by 40 weeks I’ll probably get one scheduled.

My dr offers elective inductions at 39 w but I’m gonna wait till 40. No longer though this momma is in pain! I’ve been induced before though and it went very smooth so I know what to expect.

My doctor doesn’t induce before 40 weeks if there’s no medical reason and will let me go to 42 weeks if fluid levels etc are oaky
