This miiiiiight not fit in here but here it goes.

Let's say you had a parent that abused you as a child. The level of abuse is so much so that it still affects you to this day. Emotionally and physically.

They get sick and end up with significant memory loss. Almost all their memories have disapated. They remember who you are. They know that they love you. They do not remember the abuse.

Their entire demeanor has changed as well. They are kind and loving now. They have very little family and live alone.

Could you still be in their lives?

I didn't realize how dark this topic sounded.

This is personal to me, but I was curious how others would feel. Others not directly affected by this.
