Gender reveal parties?

Question

Anyone else scared to do one now. I really wanted to do one but now with 2 miscarriages in scared that planning a party is gonna jinx it or something. I'm not usually a superstitious person, but it feels like putting so much hope to go that far, meaning party planning...
I'm not sure I can handle that and it makes me sad because I want to be joyful in my pregnancy, not terrified.
EDIT: also I'm not pregnant right now, I just saw a video and thought of it since were ttc

I’m sorry for your losses. Whatever you do just know that you cannot change the outcome of what will happen, so when it happens try not to get caught up in that! 
I have had two miscarriages as well and I’m not pregnant yet. Personally I never wanted to do a gender reveal and I wouldn’t now. I dont even want a baby shower if I’m ever lucky enough to carry to term. One big reason is I know how hard it is to go to these events as someone who has had miscarriages and is struggling and doing IVF and I would never want to put someone in the position where they felt they should come to that for me. I definitely see how you want to balance being excited and also being scared which we all probably will be after our losses!! Do whatever makes YOU happy though!! You deserve that!!
