Things your parents did that annoyed you as a kid... how do you feel about them now?

Things like, enforcing bed time. No eating sweets before bed. Brush your teeth. 
Rules of the house that you hated as a kid.

Um my parents were meth addicts so things like 
never having food
abuse
they would constantly almost id
etc. 
id kill for a parent to have made me brush my teeth.

I would absolutely hate that my parents did not let me have sleepovers, but now I totally get it. I probably wont let my kids have sleepovers either...

🤷 my parents were pretty strict, and I was also shipped off to a military boarding school by the time I was in 8th grade..so there's that.. also (along with my siblings) we just knew to brush our teeth before bed and when we woke up, make our beds in the morning, fold towels a certain way, wash dishes a certain way, go to bed bed at a certain time, and wake up at a certain time.. we didn't really have to be told to do anything.. other than clean our closets. I still struggle to keep my closet neat at all times but nothing is ever dirty on the floor like it would have been growing up lol

Never let us go to sleepovers or spend time at friends houses. Thankful now since apparently that’s where all these murders are starting with the kids nowadays 😟🤭

My parents wouldnt let me go on a trampoline. Didn't makes sense as I was allowed to do all other kinds of risky stuff like walking on 6 foot brick fences, climbing trees, jumping off the high dive, playing chicken on bikes, etc.
When asked about it now they say they knew one kid broke a leg on a trampoline but didnt personally know anyone getting hurt doing all the other things 🤦‍♀️
