Circumcision question...gauze?

My son just had is Circumcision done and the doctor put on a vaseline wrapped in gauze. They told me to remove the gauze after 24 hours. 
Is this safe? What if he poops or pees?

Yes, and after it’s removed just make sure to put a bit of Vaseline on each diaper until it fully heals!

Follow your doctor’s orders. There are a few different circumcision methods that require different aftercare. 
For our son’s we had the gauze and removed it the next day. After we removed the gauze we coated it in Vaseline after each change until it was healed about 8 days later.

With my son they told us the same thing and gave us extra gauze so when he peed or pooped I changed the gauze and applied more Vaseline. To me it's unsanitary not to put a fresh one on if they mess their diaper up... My son's healed just fine 😊
