My doctor put me on metformin and bc pills to level out hormones, help my a1c numbers, etc...and meanwhile also bc to regulate periods. Plan is to come back off in spring to ttc. (Last time we tried this, i was on antibiotics in February and ended up pregnant....had a little on in nov 2016....), I have had daily, multiple times, diarrhea from the metformin...and have read about diarrhea to cause bc to loose its effect. I take my pill daily and havent missed a dose. I did have a 3 day period at the very end of the inactive pills a couple weeks ago...well now im have ewcm, tinged with brown blood... (didnt have it last month)... so im curious if the diarrhea could be causing the bc pill to be ineffective... has this happened to anyone else and they ended up pregnant? Going to wait another week or so before testing but figured id see if its happened to anyone else.
