Has anyone had experience with betamethazone shots and side effects? I am 33 + 1 and had two shots 24 hours apart last weekend due to threatened preterm labor. This is my 4th child but my first time having steroid shots. My midwife made it seem like it was no big deal and no real side effects and would only help the baby if it comes early. However, I couldn’t sleep the two nights after I had the shots and I immediately had cramping and bleeding. I went into L&D and they checked the baby & I out and everything was ok. The bleeding subsided after about 4-5 days but I still have quite a bit of pain and cramping in my lower abdomen and back. I also have been pretty sick to my stomach all week. Anyone have any insight or experience they could share with me? TIA
