Looking into being a surrogate... any thoughts?

Pros? Cons? Would you do it? I already have 5 kiddos.. I’m great at having babies, would love to bless a family..

There’s also a room called “Surrogate Support” Incase you wanted to read some of the posts. I’ve never done it so I’m not well-versed on the pros and cons. Personally I couldn’t do it but I think highly of anyone who can! Good for you for wanting to help people.

I’d love to be a surrogate, but I think I would develop horrible PPD when I get home with all those postpartum hormones and don’t have a baby.

My mother was a surrogate and she loved it. She said it was an amazing decision.

Haven’t done it but I’ve been asking and after the mandatory therapy I decided against it for the person who asked. But if I have another child after that pregnancy I would like to be a surrogate so I have spoken to my fertility doctor about it. For me the biggest cons are, I’m risking my life and I have a child, my body is going to go through another pregnancy and losing 80lbs like I had to after my son was born was crazy hard, I don’t truly know how I will feel emotionally handing over a baby I’ve carried until I’m in the moment, being pregnant is hard work, what if I get bad nausea how will I work. Some pros, I’d forever be changing a couples life, im making someone’s dreams come true and for me that would give me great satisfaction. I have a huge desire to help another woman find peace in infertility. And saying that it would need to be the right couple. I have a desire only to be a surrogate to another woman who has suffered infertility and that situation only.
