Antibiotics and birth control

Hey guys!

Just got my wisdom teeth out, and I have to be on antibiotics for a bit. Of course, I’m not feeling horny rn but I’m just wondering, does anyone know how long birth control loses its effectiveness when on antibiotics? I received a package from my doctor just saying to use extra birth control methods, which I do anyways, but I like having that extra backup!
