Zantac is life saver

- Zantac. 150mg twice per day, before you eat. 
- Papaya enzymes after meals. 
- I stop eating at least two hours before bed, and I take a few tums before bed just as a precaution. 
- Heartburn tea by Earth Mama
I have a hiatal hernia, which makes reflux awful during pregnancy, so I’m constantly on heartburn alert!

I have the healthy mama heartburn tabs for when it gets really bad but Idk why I don’t like taking too many medicines. Things I’ve found that help subdue it though are vanilla milkshakes (yum!) & eating smaller meals. Recently I just started drinking warm almond milk with a little honey in it & I swear it works for me almost instantly! I do almond milk just because I don’t like milk but I’ve heard milk works very well as well.

I use enos not sure if it's in the UK or not it helps so much. It makes me burp all the acid up if that makes sense but the relief I feel afterwards is amazing

So I have GERD/acid reflux that was pre-existing.  Had it under control with prescription omeprazole. Now I take my omeprazole and 2 zantac 150's in the morning and it's still horrible. I tell my husband his kid is trying to give me esophageal cancer.

Different things work for different folks. I see a lot of people commenting Zantac. I take it twice a day, after switching from the non-working (for me) Prilosec. It still doesn’t help me. I’m on fire 24/7. 😭

My OBGYN gave me a prescription for a gastric secretion suppressant as well as a more hardcore version of Rennies. He said that if I didn't treat it properly, it could get worse and I could end up with stomach ulcers, so he threw drugs at me fairly promptly when I told him about the acid reflux I was getting.

It’s 1.30am here and I’m propped upright on pillows next to my sweetly sleeping husband, while the baby kicks my dinner back into my throat 🤦🏼‍♀️ went to a friend’s house for tea so couldn’t eat my usual 6pm small portion 😂 
Black liquorice was effective for me for a while (if you can stomach it) also try to eat a palm-sized lunch & evening meal with smallish snacks between. The less that’s in there at once the better 😅

Ugh its horrid isn't it!! I have rennie through the day too. A big swig of gaviscon at night and when I wake up too. Mine is worse at night. Your GP may prescribe it for you xx
