Toddler regression anyone??

Question

Anyone else’s toddler regressing just before baby? We’ve backtracked on potty training, and sleep is now getting choppy. I hear it’s normal but 😬

I have a two year old who has completely givin up on potty training. I was hoping she would be potty trained by the time baby got here, but doesn't look like it at this point. Sad really. But at least shes still going to bed like a champ.

My sweet two year old is now hitting, throwing things at us, and being super clingy. Thankfully he is still sleeping.
It's so cute when he lifts my shirt, rubs my belly, and starts saying "Hi!" to his baby sister though.

YES! I have a 2 year old that doesn’t want to sleep anymore. She’ll want to have a dance party at 3am and act like she’s had enough sleep and won’t go back to bed. I haven’t started potty training yet but it’s in the cards either very soon or a couple months after the baby is born- I haven’t decided what i want to do yet. I’m too tired from lack of sleep to tackle potty training I think!

I feel like my 4 year old is affected by my hormones, she’s just become real clingy as well as my cats

I work with 3-6 year olds for my job, and this is absolutely a real thing. They say kids and animals can sense when a big change is coming. I'm a FTM so I only have my cats, but they certainly have changed. I've also seen major behavioral changes in students in the classroom (obviously not even with their parents at that point) when a parent is about to have another child. Don't know how, but it definitey seems to affect them deeply whether they understand what's coming or not.  Sorry I have no advice. Just know you're definitely not alone!
