Episiotomy scar tissue?

Hey everyone, 
I have currently done lots of research online and I have scar tissue at my episiotomy area about the size of a 1p mayne slightly bigger. I am 7 weeks pp.. it sometimes bleeds and is very painful, also a little smelly (can only smell it if I smell the tissue paper) sorry for the tmi 😂
I heard people say that this can be resolved with a operation 
At first I thought I had a infection but then realised it was scar tissue. 
Has anyone else had the same problem? Smell and soreness too?

I just went to the collerectal doctor who described my problems due to the scar tissue and missing muscle there. I was surprised because my lo is 6! And I thought it was hemroids. He told me that I will need surgery at some point and I’m scheduled to have a colonoscopy soon.
For those of you who had surgery- how long and how was the recovery?

I had an episiotomy with my first and ended up with a lot of scar tissue.  First. Go to pelvic floor physical therapy.  They can help you work the scar tissue so it isn't so painful.  Worst case, you can see a urogynecologost who may be able to remove any remaining scar tissue.  I did both and literally changed my life! Good luck

I had something called granulated tissue that I had to have surgery to remove. Not sure if that is the same thing you have.

I had an episiotomy. 
I had the same problem and went to my GP. They won’t do any operations till last 6 months due to them taking so long to heal and also they can trap infection of messed with. My GP gave me some antibiotics which took pain away and generally made mine heal better. 
I’m 11 weeks pp now and the scar tissue is still there but completely painless just not great to look at. My partner doesn’t seem to mine and it doesn’t make me self conscience so my GP said if I don’t want any operations I don’t have to as it is for cosmetic reasons only. 
I would chat to your GP and see what they say. After antibiotics and trying to have sex if there is no pain and you feel ok about it then I would suggest leave it, if not you can always have it recut and restitched x

I would contact your OB they can usually take care of it with local anesthetic in office. You’ll get another stitch or two and some more weeks without sex but it’ll be worth it.
