Period or something

I have never had regular periods. My first day of my last period was 12/17 because my gynecologist put me on provera. At the end of last week I started spotting some or more like when I peed small amount of blood (looked like small blood clots) would be in the toilet and then some blood (light pink)on tissue. I wore a tampon but nothing. My husband and I are trying to get pregnant and what I can tell I have not ovulated. Could this be a a weird period or something else?
