Induction?!

I am currently 40 weeks and 4 days. I have had a healthy normal pregnancy. I just have not dilated any and my cervix has already softened also baby has not dropped. I’m scheduled to be induced today since my doctor said the baby is getting big and might stress if I wait longer. He said they will insert a suppository to help me dilate then after that they will start the induction.

What are the possibilities of a c section if everything has gone good so far in my pregnancy? What are the pros and cons of getting induced?!? I’m a FTM and I’m freaking out! Please help.
