My baby is almost 48 hours old, and although I am confident with breastfeeding, he seems to suck his hands after being fed and changed.

He will stay on one breast until he pulls himself away, and then I’ll let him nurse on the second breast. I’ll change his nappy and he will be more settled, although he starts sucking his hands! I put him close to my breast and he doesn’t feed, he suckles for a few moments and that’s it, and then sucks his fingers again.

Could this be an issue with my colostrum/milk production, or has this nothing to do with his feeding? Thank you
