DoTerra oils safe?

I have the oils lavender on guard and chamomile and I was wondering if they are safe to defuse around my 3 month old? I used on guard and lavender together in the kitchen and the house is s good size but tonight I wanted to just try 1 drop of lavender in the room and was wondering if I should. These are not cheap oils they are a really good brand

This book we have in our office at work and I suggest any mom looking to have Essential oils diffused in their home to read this!! I would NOT put them directly on any child BUT diffusers are completely safe!!

I am not an expert, but https://thebibliosphere.tumblr.com is. Joy has lots of experience and strongly discourages using EOs around children under ten. It's not good for their lungs. Lots of people and website selling EOs claim to be safe for babies and children, but just because something is natural doesn't mean it's safe. 
One of Joy's friends is a licensed aroma therapist, the aroma therapist used what she thought were safe EOs around her 8 year old child and the child died. Please check with sources other then the people selling EOs.
