Planned birth in a hotel to avoid husband

So- my partner is one of those partners who’s just, blah. Like “I blame my girl for everything because I feel inadequate and miserable.”

Anyway. He makes life suck. He talks over me, takes things out of my hands, takes over efforts I’m making (in anything) then pretends he did them in entirety. It’s definitely controlling. Our relationship is very toxic, miserable and will inevitably end. I don’t foresee a future but we have been together 7.5 years and have a blended family and a biological child who’s 4. I’m 6 months pregnant. I know, I should be shot, I deserve what get, etc. Anyway, to avoid him being as horrible as he was during the last homebirth. I’ve been considering going to a hotel to deliver. I would obviously check in immediately at thinking things are happening so I could get everything bleached and cleaned and covered in plastic tarps (prepping exactly as I would for a birth at home.)

My question is : Has anyone birthed in a hotel, on purpose or not, alone or unattended or with a midwife... I want to hear all the stories, good or bad.

I DO NOT INTEND ON TELLING HIM UNTIL THE BABYS BORN. HE’S NOT INVITED TO STRESS ME OUT FOR HIS OWN EXPERIENCE.
