Pros and cons of connected crib & changing table?

Saw a nice 4 in 1 crib on Wayfair but the crib is connect with the changing table. FTM so just curious if there’s any pros and cons having the table connected vs not?

I don't like this because when they're older they can get into the stuff on the table

I think the downside is the changing table. Let’s be real, there’s probably very few people in the world that use a changing table 24/7. Most people change their babies wherever they are.

I wanted something similar until I saw it in person on Saturday.  The first downfall is that it’s gigantic, I think it would take up the entire wall in my decent size nursery.  The other down fall is that when they are old enough believe me they will use that side piece to get out.  They can also reach over and touch whatever is on the changing table.  I’ve changed my mind and I’m going with a standard crib.  I suggest looking at one in person.

I used to many for a family that had attached ones. They had major issues with their youngest climbing up onto the changing table and then using the shelving to scale down the side and onto the floor. He also go into everything that was stored on it daily!
I personally am buying a dresser and putting a pad on the top even though our nursery is gonna be small.

I have that same exact one and loved it, now I just think it's alright because I was thinking about baby eventually grabbing stuff if I have it up there idk. Also, the changing pad that came with it is less than an inch thick, the baby will basically be laying on wood when you change them lol I tried to buy a changing pad to replace it but normal standard size changing pads are 30-32 inches long and this space inside the area of the crib is only about 28 inches. I bought a 30 inch, opened it up, cut it to size and glue it back to gather no problem but if I could change things I definitely would not get one that's connected.

My sister in law had one and she said she rarely used the changing table and now that my nephew is in a toddler bed they bought a new bed anyway bc turning it into the toddler bed was a lot of work 🤷🏼‍♀️
