Why cant you take hot baths while pregnant?

Ive always taken hot bathes and havent stop while pregnant. Family has said stuff about it but i didnt see the big deal and i can't stand warm water cuz it gets cold fast and I like to relax a while. Just wondering why its not advised i dont want to do anything that's serious as people make it out to be.

You can take hot baths, you just aren’t supposed to stay in hot tubs for an extended amount of time allowing your temp to rise over 101-102!

It raises the body temperature which can be unsafe for the fetus and then if you're Using things like bathbombs and stuff your more at risk for yeast infections.. 
I took a bath 3 different times when I was pregnant just to soothe my aching back.. I don't use bathbombs and didnt let the water go above 99°f

Overly hot baths raise your core temperature too much. It’s the same reason fevers are dangerous while pregnant. It can affect the development of your child especially in the first trimester.

As long as your core body temp doesn't rise above 101 degrees F...because that causes neural tube defects in baby. Just 10 min in a hot tub can raise your temp that high. Test bath water with forearm. It shoyld be comfortable...not too hot.

I take hot baths & keep a glass of ice water nearby! Just don’t get too hot & you’ll be fine!

You can take a hot bath, just not scalding, and you need to limit your time. It supposedly carries a greater risk of mc or issues, but I've never had any and I still take baths and hot showers at 35 weeks pregnant. My body tells me when I'm getting too warm.

For the same reason pregnant women should be in hottubs.
