Storytime: my ex and I were together 8 years. When we got together, he told me all his passwords (I didn't ask or mention them and at the time I thought it was weird but I thought he was trying to show trust) and gave me permission to look at any of his social media accounts. Fast forward 6.5 years, we're living together, my depression is clearing up and I  want to reestablish our sex life. I start getting turned down a lot. His daughter died and he went into a deep depression. Understandable. He starts healing and I try to initiate sex. We'd almost never have sex. I had a weird feeling so I look at his emails. He'd been messaging men and women (he's bisexual) for sex. We were monogamous at the time. I had been clear since the beginning I am not ok with this, this is cheating in any relationship I have. For the next 4 months, I keep confronting him with proof and he keeps trying to gaslight me like I'm somehow wrong. Then he suggests we become polyamorous and I find a boyfriend so I can have sex and calm the fuck down. 
It was fun, I got laid, met my husband while my ex and I were still together.
I found out after the official break up, he'd done that shit with previous partners. And other people knew he was doing it and no one told me!!!
Long story short: sometimes you just know, you're not crazy.
