It's more likely per woman, if you've never had it it's unlikely you will. I had it with my last pregnancy and I wasn't paying attention with my first because it was unplanned, but I probably had it then too. Only 1 in 3 women get it

Never had it with my first, never had it with my second pregnancy (miscarriage) but got it with my 3rd pregnancy (2 months after loss!) and I’m 12 weeks :)
