Help pls breastfeeding Mummies?

Question

Any breastfeeding mummies have any tips on how to get my baby to breastfeed without stopping, crying and holding her breath? Then she refuses to try again 😐 I’ve tried to breastfeed since the day she was born and even now 5 weeks later she still won’t latch! 🙄 I’ve been so patient and kept trying but she just doesn’t want it? 
Any advice would be appreciated ☺️

Maybe try a nipple shield & express a little bit so she can taste it. Also don’t wait until she is super hungry to feed because they get frustrated. Also see if there is a lactation consultant anywhere near you or ask your dr about one. They probably have soooo much more info for you & can help you one on one!

Find a breastfeeding center or a lactation specialist. They were sooo incredibly helpful. I also second the nipple shield. Also try to bottle feed an ounce or two beforehand so LO isn’t so hungry and calmed down a little. Don’t ever try to latch for more than 10 minutes because you don’t want LO to associate frustration with breastfeeding and learn to hate even trying. Good luck keep at it! The nipple shields are what helped my daughter get a latch after we bottle fed for a few weeks.
