Should ovulation tests get darker each day?

I started with EWCM yesterday which was only day 10 of my cycle. ovulation tests on Sunday, yesterday and today have been negative. Should I expect the test line to darken each day leading up to LH surge?

Not nessescarily, some people have short lh tops, like me. My tests are totally negative now and I'm in the middle of expecting ovulation.
