Derm told you to wash face with Dove?

Has anyone gone to a dermatologist and had them specifically recommend dove soap to wash their face?

Dove makes liquid soap too 🤷🏼‍♀️but dove is supposed to be good for your skin

I was told cetaphil or baby soap. I have a 2 year old so I use baby soap.

Cerave or Cetaphil. It’s really gentle. I like Cerave the most.

Mine always recommends cerave . If I used dive bar soap my skin would start to peel. It’s supposed to be gentle but I guess it depends on  your skin type.

So many people that I know ( including my husband) use it to wash their faces and basically have perfect skin.  I have always read that it was bad, even though it is more gentle than most bar soaps, but I have also heard dermatologist recommend it to wash your face.  So I guess I was just confused to hear things on both ends of the spectrum. I think people either love it or hate it!

I use dove dry oil bar soap for my body and cetaphil cleanser for my face. I have eczema and it’s been good for me. I also slather on some lotions after too.

When I was in school to be an esthetician we were taught  how those bars of soap were made and what ingredients were actually in dove and it made me never want to use it again. I would do your own research before hand
