Almost 3 weeks old , can a baby sleep through the night ?

My baby slept 7 hrs straight after feeding through the night and was in good mood after waking up. But as everyone says we need to feed the baby as often as we can Atleast after every 2 hrs during day and every 4 hrs during night . So should I wake my baby during night to feed him or not?

Do Not I repeat Do Not wake that baby unless you have strict orders from the doctor due to medical issues. Let that baby sleep. He/she will wake if they want food. My son was a very tiny baby. Born at 39w5d and only 5lb6oz. They told me to make sure to feed him ever 2 hrs for the first week at least to make sure he gains weight. By 3 weeks old he was sleeping for 6-7 hours. He was always tiny but he’s now 19 months and is almost caught up. (His cousin is 3 weeks younger then him and was 3 lbs bigger than him when born and so I usually compare them when I see them together).

I always did ever two hours for the first 2 weeks then every 3 hours the 3rd week then every 4 hours for a few weeks and then let baby wake on her own as long as they are maintains and gaining weight... I will do the same with this little guy

I do not let my babies go longer than 4 hours over night until 6 weeks. Then I stop waking overnight, but make sure they eat every 2.5 hours in the day
